In addition to our standard units, we construct custom build units. These are challenging, innovative and educational projects! We take the wishes of the customer and their operators into account. Together we explore all possibilities for the best solution of every project.
Our customer Welvreugd requested us to build a pumpunit with a mixing and recycling unit that fits their new Prime 150 ton drilling rig. This installation meets the latest environmental requirements due to its low CO2, nitrogen and fuel consumption.
Welvreugd wanted a compact built pump unit with a large capacity. An electrically powered unit with the option of an external power supply or electrically powered from the built-in diesel generator. The pump unit had to be controllable through the console of the Prime drilling rig. To be used with any other drilling machine, the pump unit also had to be controllable through a remote control. The units had to be set up and dismantled quickly and fit the hook arm system used by Welvreugd for transport. A clear challenging project for us.
In February 2020, the P2500EG650 was the result. A first in our industry!
The pump unit has a capacity of 2,500 liters / minute with a maximum pressure of 100 bar. Is electrically powered by the built-in generator with a capacity of 650 kVA. This is enough power for the pump unit and all associated mixing and recycling units to run simultaneously. Therefor the units can be used at different types of locations. Due to our way of building, fewer external machines and transport are required, which keeps emissions to a minimum. We are proud to share the process.
When the question of the client and the wishes of the operators are clear, our draftsman and designer can get to work. With design programs, all components are placed accurately in the construction drawing. This is how we achieve the most compact design possible. We take the optimal cooling and the noise standards into account. It is important all components in the unit are easily accessible to carry out maintenance. When the draftsman completes the drawing, we present the design with everyone involved in the process. The construction phase starts after the final adjustments are made, and both the operators and client agree with the design.
We outsource components of the unit to our trusted partners, this allows parallel construction. The efforts of these experts ensure our high quality. Our job is to keep control over the process and adhere to the timeschedule. Ultimately, all components come together in our workshop, where the unit is finished by our own experts.
The unit is extensively tested in our workshop by us and our partners. Once the final checks have been completed, the unit will go to the customer. We always visit our customers at a job site to see our end product into operation. The role of the operators is very important, we learn from their user experience, together we optimize the unit. And then the best part of the project is there; together with a satisfied customer we admire the unit!
